The material can be produced in sheets and strips of other sizes, as well as other geometric shapes, upon customer request. It may contain antibacterial components.

Properties

It is a composite of organic and inorganic components of hard tissues. It is biocompatible with human tissue and does not cause a rejection reaction.

KOLAPOL KP enhances osteogenesis (more potent than the hemostatic KOLAPOL KP, but less so than KOLAPOL KP-3) and has significant local hemostatic action. It is also available in antimicrobial formulations: L – lincomycin hydrochloride (KP-L), M – metronidazole (KP-M).

Indications for use

In surgical and orthopedic traumatology practice: stopping bleeding in bone tissue, during surgery, as well as in open wounds of traumatic origin, during operations on various hemangiomas, including in patients with hemophilia. In ENT surgery, it is used to stop bleeding in the Kiesselbach plexus area due to trauma and hypertension, as well as for bleeding during operations such as conchotomies. In dental practice, KOLAPOL KP is indicated for increased bleeding (after complex tooth extraction, dental implantation, and other surgical procedures).
