Fragments measuring 20x8x7 mm, weighing 0.15±0.05 g, white or off-white (TU 9391-003-77330104-2011). The material can be produced in sheets and strips of other sizes and thicknesses upon customer request. It is a composite of organic and inorganic bone tissue components.

Properties

It is biocompatible with human tissue and does not cause a rejection reaction. KOLAPOL KP-3 enhances osteogenesis and stimulates wound healing in bone tissue. It is non-toxic and does not cause long-term adverse effects (inflammatory or allergic reactions), does not have a mutagenic or immunomodulatory effect, and does not affect pregnancy or fetal development. Available in antimicrobial formulations: L - lincomycin hydrochloride (KP-3L), M - metronidazole (KP-3M).

Indications for Use

It is used in surgical, orthopedic, and dental practices to fill bone cavities that arise after cyst and tumor removal, sequestrectomy, and in patients with chronic osteomyelitis (including those with complicated pathological fractures) who have undergone multiple surgeries. When filling large cavities (>5 cm³), it can be used in combination with HYDROXIAPOL (powder and granules) and INDOST gel.
