PROPERTIES

Apatos® is a biocompatible, osteoconductive , xenogenic biomaterial that resembles mineralized human bone in its properties and can therefore be used as an alternative to autogenous bone.

The natural micropores of Apatos® simplify and thereby accelerate the process of new bone formation in the defect area. Apatos® nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite is available in the form of cortical and mixed granules.

Features of working with OsteoBiol Apatos material

Before use, the material must be moistened, i.e. thoroughly mixed with a few drops of sterile saline solution or the patient's blood.

If necessary, the material can be mixed with a medicinal product. The resulting mixture should be applied to the defect area using a sterile spatula or a biomaterial syringe.
