OsteoBiol ® Soft Cortical Lamina ® thin 25x25 is a rigid, dried plate of heterologous cortical bone with preserved collagen. After wetting, Cortical Lamina ® becomes flexible and is 0.4-0.6 mm thick. The approximate resorption time for this thin plate is 5 months.

The Soft Cortical Lamina ® plate is available in both porcine (LS25FS) and equine (LS25FE).

The OsteoBiol ® Cortical Lamina ® plate can be trimmed with sterile scissors and then placed in sterile saline for 5-10 minutes.

Once the plate becomes pliable, it should be placed on the defect and secured with titanium microscrews or sutured to the surrounding tissue. The OsteoBiol ® Curved Lamina ® plate should not be wetted. It should be trimmed to the shape of the defect with sterile scissors, placed in place, and secured with osteosynthesis screws. The plate's consistency allows for complete wound healing by secondary intention, so if accidentally exposed, it does not need to be removed unless there are obvious signs of infection.

The OsteoBiol ® Cortical Lamina ® plate is made from heterologous cortical bone using the exclusive Tecnoss ® technology , which avoids the ceramicization of hydroxyapatite crystals and thereby reduces the time of physiological resorption of the material.

After superficial decalcification, the plate becomes elastic, while the compact structure of the original bone is preserved. The plate's edges are soft, so they do not injure the surrounding tissue.

The Lamina® plate can also be used in cases of risk of wound dehiscence and in orbital floor reconstructions.

The Curved Lamina ® plate is 0.8-1.0 mm thick and does not require pre-wetting. Its classic indication is bone regeneration in sockets with wall defects (in combination with OsteoBiol ® mp3 ® material ).
